Voltfield helps engineers across data center power, renewables, battery storage, oil & gas, and industrial MRO find the right spec and understand what drives its lead time and its cost. Voltfield sells nothing, ships nothing, and is not a route to anyone who does.
What Voltfield is
Voltfield is an independent engineering reference and free tools platform. It isn't a distributor and doesn't warehouse or ship parts itself — the catalog exists so you can look up an exact specification and see indicative price and lead-time reference data for it. Exactly how that reference data is compiled is covered in full on the methodology page.

Equipment reference
A configurable catalog across five sectors, the Lead-Time Index, a manufacturer reference, and catalog-wide analytics — all indicative reference data, not live inventory feeds.
Engineering tools
20+ engineering calculators, a one-line design practice sandbox, and PCB build/layout tools — free, no signup, aimed at early-stage sizing and hands-on practice rather than stamped final designs.
Specification tools
A BOM generator, and an specification checklist with copy-paste spec templates you can hand to whoever builds it.
Reference & compliance
A glossary of the standards and acronyms that show up across these sectors, plus guides on interconnection, domestic-content rules, FEOC compliance, and equipment safety codes.
How Voltfield is positioned
This wasn't always the framing. The site originally read like a parts storefront — "sold and fulfilled directly," add-to-cart language, checkout flows. That has been rewritten sitewide. What replaced it is a reference: you can look up a family, see how it is specified, what standards apply, roughly what it costs and roughly how long it takes. There is no request to send and no one to send it to.
